maybe not as good as i'd like but....

I baked something and took pictures of it the other night!
I wouldn't really call this weeks cooking cooking. spaghetti and sausage and hot dogs and mac n cheese and beans. yummy and easy but.... Tony made excellent steak and cheese calzones on Sunday though! However i don't know how to blog pics from my phone.
I made no bake cookies cookies the other night because Haylee really wanted to bake. :)

And the garden is doing well i need to fertilize it before i go to work today.

still not cooking

Though i threw together a great pasta salad last week using a rotisserie chicken, marinated motz balls, and tomato. The garden is growing and we've been munching sweat peas.

summer is whisking me away

So the garden is dug and one is built I'll need to post some pictures but i haven't taken any that aren't on the cell phone naughty me. I've got tomato's many red and many yellow cherry tomato's. Then a friend a gave me 4-5 other plants all of a purple variety yum! I've got some growing in the garden and some will be in the flower bed if i ever get them there I was waiting for the rain now I'm blogging instead of digging. I've got two in one of those hanging contraptions in the clothes line so we'll see what does best.
Then I've got basil from Noona and some from Melissa thanks all! I've got peppers from Melissa, we traded for some of my too many squash plants. I've got a few peppers from Darlene as well. I've got cucumbers that look like they are doing well.
I planted peas along the back walk and i cant keep the trellis standing. The green beans and waxed beans are coming along as are the summer squash and zucchini. I also have rainbow chard and purple cabbage and celery to dress up my growing perennial beds.
tony has plans for a neato herb bed made from pallets that he's going to remodel and paint but that will mostly be for next year. Now we watch and wait and water or hope for sun depending on the week.
As for cooking This week we had Taco's. hot dogs, Blt's and i have no idea what we are eating tonight. I'm really trying to get back on track, uunfortunitly the grill ran out of gas so until pay day thats on the back burner. Pictures to come soon.

since I haven't been cooking much

I've been working allot to go on vacation in a month....We did have a nice chicken dinner with all the fixings last night and i made a baked mac n cheese and hot dogs over the weekend. I'm cooking a pork loin tonight. I'm gonna post about our garden too since i hope to cook wonderful things with what comes out of it. However it isn't built yet.
We planted some annuals a week or so ago and some cabbage and celery, those are mostly to look pretty though.
I plan to plant our veggies this evening lettuce, pickling cucumbers, red tomatoes, yellow squash, yellow cherry tomatoes, zucchini and colorful chard. I'll pick up some singles for other squash and herbs at the farmers market soon.

spring is whispering in my ear

I still feel behind but i feel like we are catching up slow and steady......the roof keeps dripping in my coffee cup....
I've got my seed order figured out. going to place it at the end of the week....soon i can start blogging my food pictures from seed start!! YUM! Wore the Rain boots last week and need to get Miss Haylee some this week. Though the weather for tomorrow looks down right dreadful...Tis March for you!
This weeks menu includes
Steak, rice pilaf and broccoli
pork chops something and salad
macaroni and cheese and ham and more broccoli?
and a Boiled dinner with corned beef.

I haven't been cooking much i feel ashamed....I did make a taco casserole the other night....I've been working a ton making up for missing time while having the flu. but this weekend is birthday weekend so I'll have pics to post of cakes and quesadillas! It's gonna by in blink but that's what life seems to be good for I miss February and i don't mind. :)

Next week I'll get back on track i promise....

Last week was a busy one with lotsa work and then some play...We went to the prom after 17 years we didn't look all that different however I have to locate a pic from 1995 to post with this one.

In the mean time this weeks been a little bit of a flop, i hear my kid had a lovely valentines day...I however got the flew and missed 3 days of my life..thanks to tamaflu I'm much better though i cant hear or smell or go to work. A new job called today luckily I knew the Gal cause she used to work at the nursing home so hopefully that's just an easy add...
So next week Haylee is off to camp at the Y for the week. I hopefully can breath again and go to work.... and in-services and we can get life back on track?
